About – Meet Jenna Anderson
Jenna Anderson
Born in Wyoming, I followed the footsteps of my grandparents and moved to the eastern side of Montana after obtaining my B.A. in Creative Writing at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD.
Several years later, I took the step to move back to the mountains by transitioning to Kalispell, MT. I grew up riding horses and chasing cattle through the foothill of the Big Horns in Sheridan. Though my cattle chasing days are over (now I trail ride and do horse archery), I still spend most of my weekends on horseback with my two corgis close behind.
I got into the fitness industry in 2009 as a power yoga instructor (which is still my first love in fitness) and then eventually shifted into personal training. I currently hold a NASM personal trainer, Precision Nutrition lvl 1, Fredrick Stretch Therapy (FST) lvls 1, 2, Fitness level 3, Medical lvl 3, Sports Specific, EasyFlexibility (ZST) stretch method, Animal Flow Lvl 1, and Pain Performance Certified Specialist (PPCS). Needless to say, I have a crazy passion for movement and helping people learn how to move their body through space in various ways.
As the longest practicing FST therapist in the state of Montana, I take pride in helping people overcome their chronic or acute pain, which is affecting their lives in a negative. I found FST in 2016 after a horrific car wreck which took me from no pain, to chronic pain and a fear of being in pain as a result of injuries. It took several years, changing my mindset around training, and learning the art (and power) of stretching and movement to secure my strength and mobility in the fitness world again several years later. Taking the knowledge from what I’ve learned on my own body, and being able to start seeing the dysfunction in the human body, helping people overcome pain, and or manage pain in a way that allows them to reclaim their life, has become a passion.
Pain is a billion dollar industry, and keeping people in the insurance cycle without really creating results and or improving the patterns can be mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausting on a day-in-day out experience. My mission is to try and help all my clients get out of the insurance cycle of barely managing pain, and into a place of strength and movement, and as normal of a life as they can have.
When I’m not hands on helping people (or doing online training clients) I can almost always be found with a horse cookie in my pocket, a pair of eager corgis, and headed for an adventure with at least one or more of my critters.
I’d love to connect with you!
